Thousands of red, white and blue balloons are set to fall to the floor of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia tonight, after Hillary Clinton becomes the first woman to accept her party's nomination for president.
A Northampton County woman's company happened to have a hand in preparing the big balloon-drop. Karen Ford, owner of Palmer Township-based BalloonWorks, says she provided a team of people to inflate and tie the balloons last week.
Ford says her company, in business for 25 years, has also been involved with the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Show, Lafayette College, Easton's Heritage Day and the State Theatre, as well as many school proms and homecomings.
