The latest Franklin and Marshall College poll shows Hillary Clinton is ahead of Donald Trump and Katie McGinty is leading U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey.

Among likely voters, Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, is leading Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, 47-40 percent. That is down from the 49-38 percent lead Clinton had after the Democratic National Convention, according to the poll.

The numbers show 75 percent of registered Democrats support Clinton and 73 percent of registered Republicans support Trump.

In the race for one of Pennsylvania's two U.S. Senate seats, Democrat Katie McGinty has a five-point lead over Republican incumbent Pat Toomey, 43-38 percent, among likely voters. According to the poll, the race is just about tied among registered voters, 36-37 percent.

Franklin and Marshall interviewed 736 registered voters in Pennsylvania, including 358 Democrats, 286 Republicans and 92 independents from August 25 through 29.

The election will take place on Tuesday, November 8.
